Sharanya attended boarding school in Adelaide from Year 10, and later obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Drama at the University of Exeter, UK. She is an experienced Speech and Drama and Public Speaking teacher at several institutions and international schools in Kuala Lumpur working with students ages 5 – 20 years old as well as special needs children and adults. She thoroughly enjoys working alongside children and is passionate about using “drama in the classroom” as a way of building confidence, and public speaking skills amongst our younger generation.
She has several years of experience acting in front of large groups of audiences, taking part in plays, short films, and comedy troupes performing at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Exeter Film Festival, in Playhouses such as The Firehouse and The Bikeshed in Exeter, and performing stand-up / improvisational comedy at Petaling Jaya Live Arts Centre (PJLA) and in the AIIA Improv Comedy Group. She has also co-directed a few of her own plays such as ‘Art’ and Roald Dahl’s ‘The Witches’ which showed at Damansara Performing Arts Centre (DPAC).
